Recap of My Week

Last week was way too slow. Hubby was on call so we spent most of our days stuck at home with some dvd. We watched Milk, Atonement and 8 other movies while munching on my homemade sugarfree blueberry muffin.

This week is a whole lot better than the last. So many good things happen. It all started with a very lovely dinner o’er at the Hiske’s. Hubby and I brought blueberry cheesecake (gotta use all the blueberries on the fridge, lol)and tapa (thinly sliced marinated beef). It is always wonderful to share meaningful conversation with friends while savoring a delicious meal. The next good thing is that I met a very interesting and nice young woman, she is originally from Poland but she was raised here in the US. She seems sweet and so is her family. I do hope to get to know her more.

Also,my grandma celebrated her 82nd birthday this week. It’s sad that I wasn’t with her to share her special day, but knowing that thelovely bouquet of flowers I sent put a smile on her face is good enough for me. (Love you, Lola Ne. You’re life has always been a blessing!)

Hmmm, whatelse….oh, hubby offset the time he spent working over the past weekend. We went on a mid-week date, watched Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince and dine out. (Yey! No cooking, no dishes to wash)….Later on, a girl friend picked me up and we did a little shopping together. It’s good to have some girly-girly time once in awhile…
I also had the chance to go back to the butterfly garden and took more photos….Oh time flies by when I am there….
One of the best part of my week is when I got a call from a good ol’ friend. She asked me if I can plan out a calendar of activities for this group of school-aged kids, kinda like a structured playdate thingy….I said I’d be happy to do it for free (but she insisted on paying a fee for it)….So there, I will be doing something worthwhile again….(other than being a lazy wifey, lol)

Tomorrow, Saturday we’ll go to Belle Isle, a very lovely island park with lotsa stuff to do. Museum, beach, zoo…hmmm, I cant wait. On Sunday, I am planning to make a sumptuous breakfast in bed for the hubby, maybe some waffles, omelet, sausage, fresh fruits and a pot of gourmet coffee (maybe.. we’ll see what’s the pantry & the fridge)….and of course, we will be going to church to thank the Lord for another wonderful week in our lives.

So there… a busy but indeed an amazing week =)
